Description

You get one of these beautiful Chrysochroa Buqueti Rugicollis dried wood boring beetles from Thailand. These are A1 quality (top quality) specimens packaged on cardboard for easy transport and are about 1.75 to 2 inches long. These beetles are a striking bright iridescent purple and copper color on the head with more subtle iridescent purple coloring on the wing spots. The iridescent coloration in these beetles is structural which means microscopic variations in the surface skin of the beetle alter the reflection of light. Structural color is more stable and will not fade unlike regular pigment colors. Structural color is often responsible for the more bright and intense types of natural creature colors. These beetles are natural items with natural variations so each has a slightly different coloration and size. Photos are stock photos, you will not receive these exact specimens but ones very similar.

All insects are collected legally and sustainably with all required import permits and regulations properly followed.
