You will receive one package of these beautiful natural selenite desert rose specimens from Mexico, also known as sand roses, rose rocks or gypsum roses.  There are several different kinds of mineral specimens that are sometimes called ‘desert roses,’ here we have the roses created from rosette shaped selenite crystals.  These gemstone specimens range in size from approximately 3/4 to 1 1/2 inches wide and are mostly a rough sphere shape although sometime the are doubles or twins stuck together.  Selenite roses are created when selenite crystals grow in sand thus incorporating the sand right into each rosette shaped crystal.  Although they look delicate, they are surprisingly durable.  The mineral selenite is named after the ancient word for moon, “selene.”  Selenite is said to help remove energy blockages, assist in mental acuity, and aid in bringing prosperity to business.
