Description
These are whole quills with a hole drilled on the thicker end. African porcupines have quills that are smooth along the sides and only sharp on the tips. The last bit of tip can be easily snipped off with a scissors for those so inclined and can yield a quill that looks essentially the same but not nearly as sharp, which can be useful if the quill is to be used for costume work. Due to the way these quills naturally grow, the great majority of quills will be white on the drilled end (thicker end) and black on the opposite end, as shown in the photos. Photos are stock photos showing typical quills. Foreign customers, my apologies but US export law does not allow me to ship wild animal products out of country.
