Description

These shorter quills tend to be thicker with most of them between 4 and 6mm thick at their thickest point.  African porcupine quills have smooth sides and a sharp point that can be trimmed if needed.  Most quills are a combination of black and white but some may be all white.  Patterns and color tones vary between quills.  Quills are easily harvested from live porcupines because they fall out easily by draping a cloth onto the porcupine and then removing it with quills attached, but in many areas of the world, porcupines are also eaten as food.  Photos are stock photos showing typical quills.  Foreign customers, my apologies but US export law does not allow me to ship wild animal products out of country.
