These agate slices range in size from approx 1.5 to 3 inches long and have been dyed purple. (My camera portrays these as more bluish than they really are)The dye is deep inside the stone and does not rub off. These agate slices, also sometimes called slabs, have been polished smooth and shiny on both sides, each with a hole drilled on one end. Because agate is a very sturdy stone, it is often used for things like jewelry, wirewrap, wind chimes, etc. Agate is said to promote inner stability, composure, and maturity.
