These green abalone shells have been cleaned and the inside coated with a clear coat to better show the beautiful natural iridescent sheen of natural abalone. The outer rind varies somewhat in appearance with each being unique in color, pattern, and natural fissures in the outer shell. Many people use this kind of abalone shell as a Native American style smudge pot to hold herbs and incense. They are also good to hold candies or nick knacks. Photos are stock photos, you will not receive these exact abalone shells but ones very similar. They are all quite amazing.  These items have all been legally and sustainably harvested.
